ECOACTION PARTNERS IS THE REGIONS SUSTAINABILITY ORGANIZATION. WE COORDINATE PROGRAMS THAT REDUCE ENERGY, WASTE AND GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS. WE TRACK, ANALYZE AND REPORT ON REGIONAL PROGRESS TOWARD GREENHOUSE GAS REDUCTION GOALS.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAMS: A). CARE INCOME-QUALIFIED HOME WEATHERIZATION- PROVIDING LOW TO MID-INCOME RESIDENTS HOME ENERGY EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENTS OF UP TO $5000 PER HOME. 29 HOMES COMPLETED IN 2019.B). GREEN BUSINESS CERTIFICATION- APPROXIMATELY 30 CERTIFIED BUSINESSES, 8 SERVICE PROVIDER PARTNERS,2 CERTIFIED FESTIVALS,AND A PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PILOT PROGRAM.C). GREENLIGHTS- LED PRE-BATE PROGRAM, OFFERS RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES LED LIGHT BULBS AT 75% OFF AT TIME OF PURCHASE. SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM SINCE 2015.

COMPOSTE, RECYCLING, TRASH, AND WASTE REDUCTION- MANAGMENT OF VOLUNTEERS AT WASTE STATIONS, VENDOR SUPPORT, ATTENDEE ENGAGEMENT AND REPORTING ON WASTE DIVERSION AT FESTIVALS AND EVENTS IN THE REGION.C). COMPOSTING PROGRAMS- FEASIBILITY, GRANT AND OPERATIONAL EXPERTISE SUPPORT FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF REGIONAL COMPOSTING.D). TRUTH OR DARE STUDENT PROGRAM - CHALLENGES KIDS AND FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITIES TO REDUCE THEIR CARBON FOOTPRINTS, SAVE MONEY, ENERGY AND WASTE THROUGH A FUN AND EDUCATIONAL SCHOOL PROGRAM.


SNEFFELS ENERGY BOARD- COORDINATION OF GOVERNMENT, UTILITY AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS ACROSS SAN MIGUEL AND OURAY COUNTIES TO COLLABORATE ON REDUCING GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS. ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE:D) DEVELOPING REGIONAL SUSTAINABILITY (CLIMATE) ACTION PLAN AND TRACKING PROGRESS TOWARD GOALS,PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS ACROSS THE REGION.E).
