CUMU PROGRAMMING AND OPERATIONS - CUMU PROVIDED VARIOUS PROGRAMMING AND INITIATIVES THROUGHOUT FY 2021 FOR ITS MEMBERS INCLUDING THE 2020 VIRTUAL CONFERENCE, LEARNING & SHARING VIRTUAL SERIES, PRESIDENTIAL PROGRAMMING, METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITIES JOURNAL PUBLICATIONS, THE ANCHOR LEARNING NETWORK AND OTHER INITIATIVES.


CUMU VIRTUAL CONFERENCE - CUMU DID NOT HOST AN IN-PERSON ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN OCTOBER 2020 DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. INSTEAD, CUMU HOSTED A VIRTUAL CONFERENCE - A 3 DAY VIRTUAL EVENT FEATURING GUEST SPEAKERS AND WHICH GENERATED REDUCED REVENUES AND EXPESNES VERSUS THE IN-PERSON CONFERENCE FORMAT. THE IN-PERSON ANNUAL CONFERENCE IS EXPECTED TO RETURN IN OCTOBER 2022. THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE IS THE PREMIER EVENT FOR CUMU WHERE UNIVERSITY LEADERS MEET AND EXCHANGE IDEAS WITH COLLEAGUES PRIMARILY FROM THE U.S. ABOUT THE LATEST SUCCESSES AND CHALLENGES AMONG URBAN AND METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITIES AND THE CITIES IN WHICH THE RESIDE.
