TO INSPIRE AND ENCOURAGE PHILANTHROPY WHICH IMPROVES THE LIVES OF CURRENT AND FUTURE RESIDENTS OF GREENWOOD COUNTY.

Part 3 - Line 4a
DURING 2021, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED GRANTS TO OVER 50 ORGANIZATIONS. OVER HALF OF THE ORGANIZATIONS WERE LOCAL WHILE APPROXIMATELY A THIRD WERE REGIONAL. THE REMAINDER WERE NATONAL OR INTERNATIONAL. EACH ORGANIZATION RECEIVED GRANTS FROM EITHER DONOR ADVISED FUNDS, DESIGNATED FUNDS, FIELD OF INTEREST FUNDS, OR UNRESTRICTED FUNDS.
THE FOUNDATION LAUNCHED AN INITATIVE IN 2017 CALLED GREENWOOD WOMEN CARE. THIS INITIATIVE ENGAGES COMMUNITY FOCUSED WOMEN TO COLLECTIVELY LEARN,GIVE, AND GROW TOGETHER. THE OVERALL GOAL OF GREENWOOD WOMEN CARE IS TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITY FOR PERSONAL GROWTH AND TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR EVERYONE IN GREENWOOD COUNTY.
