CLEAN, SAFE AND BEAUTIFUL PROJECTTHE CCBID ENGAGES IN ACTIVITIES THAT MAKE EACH INDIVIDUAL ASSESSED PARCEL CLEANER AND SAFER BY ENGAGING IN PROGRAMS THAT DETER CRIME AND CLEAN THE PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF-WAY; AND IMPROVE AND LANDSCAPE THE PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OF THE MEDIANS, LANDSCAPED CORRIDORS, FOUNTAINS AND PEDESTRIAN WALKWAYS. THIS YEAR WE FOCUSED ON TWO PROJECTS: A NEW CENTURY CITY COMMUNITY SIGN FOR AVENUE OF THE STARS AND PICO AND THE LIGHTING OF THE TREES AT THE OVAL FOUNTAIN AND THE RECTANGLE FOUNTAIN.


LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCETHE CCBID PROVIDES LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE FOR THE 13 MEDIANS ALONG AOS BETWEEN PICO BLVD AND THE OVER HALF A DOZEN MEDIANS ON SANTA MONICA BLVD. THE LANDSCAPE VENDORS MAINTAIN THE LAWNS, PLANT MATERIAL AND IRRIGATION FIVE DAYS A WEEK ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS. WE CONTINUE TO REPLACE PLANTS AS NEEDED IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN THE QUALITY OF THE LANDSCAPE DESIGN. WE HAVE A LANDSCAPING TEAM AND AN IRRIGATION TECH ON SITE 5 DAYS A WEEK.


BIKE PATROLTHE CCBID PROVIDES A BIKE AMBASSADOR FOR SECURITY AND COMMUNITY SERVICE. THE BIKE AMBASSADOR'S HOURS ARE 7 AM 7 PM FIVE DAYS A WEEK MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY AND 7 AM UNTIL 11 PM THURSDAY AND FRIDAY PLUS 3 PM UNTIL 11 PM ON SATURDAYS. WE CONTINUE TO EXPAND OUR SECURITY PATROL TO MEET THE INCREASED SAFETY NEEDS OF THE CENTURY CITY BUSINESS COMMUNITY. THIS PATROL NOW INCLUDES NOT ONLY A BIKE PATROL BUT ALSO A CAR PATROL IN EVENINGS. WE ALSO PATROL ON SUNDAYS AS REQUIRED AND USE OFF-DUTY OFFICERS ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS.
