TEACHING SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE IN ARU JUNCTION, SOUTH SUDAN. SINCE FIRE CONSUMED THE MAIN BUIDING IN OUR JUBA LOCATION IN DECEMBER 2021, THE MAIN WORK THIS YEAR HAS BEEN TO GATHER WHAT REMAINS OF ANY VALUE TO THE FARM AND TO ESTABLISH A NEW TEACHING FARM AT A NEW LOCATION. ARU JUNCTION WAS IDENTIFIED AS THE BEST OPPORTUNITY TO RELOCATE GIVEN THE CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES IN SOUTH SUDAN. EVERY EFFORT WAS MADE TO TRANSFER USABLE EQUIPMENT, IRRIGATION, STRUCTURES, AND SEED. EXPENSES THIS YEAR INCLUDE THE COST OF FINDING A NEW LOCATION, TRANSPORTING MATERIALS, DIGGING A NEW WELL, AND BUILDING TEMPORARY STRUCTURES TO HOUSE MATERIALS FROM THE WEATHER.
