TO IDENTIFY AND EVALUATE SOLUTIONS TO WATER QUALITY AND WASTE WATER DISPOSAL PROBLEMS IN RURAL AREAS. TO ASSIST COMPLIANCE WITH GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS AND TO IMPROVE AND MAINTAIN WATER AND WASTEWATER DISPOSAL FACILITIES IN RURAL AREAS.


TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITIES TO STUDENTS INTERESTED IN PURSUING ENVIRONMENTAL CAREERS.


TO FOSTER DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF STATE PROGRAMS WHICH IMPLEMENT THE SAFE DRINKING WATER ACT.


TO ADMINISTER REVOLVING FUNDS THROUGH A PROGRAM OF GRANTS WHICH PROVIDE A LONG TERM SOURCE OF FINANCING FOR THE COSTS OF INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDED TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC WATER SUPPLIES.
