WE PROVIDE COMMUNITY SUPPORT TO ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, I.E. DOMESTIC, EMPLOYMENT, RECREATION/LEISURE, COMMUNICATION, IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT CENTERS, INC. DBA COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT SERVICES PROVIDED SERVICES AND SUPPORTS TO 18 ADULTS WITH SIGNIFICANT INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT CENTERS, INC. IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING PERSONALIZED SERVICES WHICH PROMOTE THE INTERESTS AND RESPECT THE CHOICES OF EACH INDIVIDUAL. RESOURCES AND OTHER SUPPORTS WILL BE IDENTIFIED AND UTILIZED TO EFFECTIVELY IMPACT ON DEVELOPING, EXPANDING AND ENHANCING REAL AND TYPICAL WORK, COMMUNITY AND LIVING OPPORTUNITIES THAT RESULT IN A VALUED AND SATISFIED COMMUNITY MEMBER AND NEIGHBOR. COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT SERVICES, A PROGRAM OF SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT CENTERS, INC. WORKS WITH EACH INDIVIDUAL WE PROVIDE SERVICES AND SUPPORTS INDIVIDUAL PLANNING TEAMS. THE IPP TEAMS INCLUDED SOCIAL WORKER, FAMILY MEMBERS, RESIDENTIAL PROVIDERS AND SIGNIFICANT PERSONS IN THEIR LIVES. A SAMPLE OF THE TYPES OF INDIVIDUALIZED OUTCOMES INCLUDE: JOB DEVELOPMENT AND JOB SEARCH, JOB TRAINING, AND TAILORED ON THE JOB SUPPORT TO MEET THE INDIVIDUAL AND EMPLOYERS NEEDS BANKING, BUDGETING AND PAY REPORTING TO SSI TRAVEL AND DESTINATION TRAINING TO VARIOUS PLACES IN SAN FRANCISCO AND SAN MATEO CO. SHOPPING FOR PERSONAL AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS NEEDED MAKING A VARIETY OF PURCHASES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES, I.E. COFFEE, LUNCH, ETC. RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES BOWLING, GOLF, BASKETBALL, TENNIS, FRISBEE GOLF, SOCCER, FOOTBALL, ETC. JOINING GYM, AND OTHER CLUBS OF INTEREST THAT REQUIRE MEMBERSHIPS, OBTAINING LIBRARY CARDS, ETC. ADVOCACY TRAINING: VOTING CLASS, ASSISTANCE TO VOTE, EXPLAINING BALLOT, HOW TO WRITE A LETTER, EXPLAINING CONTENT OF LETTERS, PHONE CALLS TO LEGISLATORS ON SPECIFIC ISSUES OF INTERESTS TO THE INDIVIDUAL, INCLUDING ADVOCATING AT YOUR IPP, ISP, AND ALSO RELATIONSHIPS AND PREPARING END OF LIFE DIRECTIVES SUPPORT ATTENDING CITY COLLEGE CLASSES OF SAN FRANCISCO, ART CLASS, COMPUTER CLASS WE ARE ABLE TO CONTINUE WITH REMOTE SERVICES AND SUPPORTS UNTIL DECEMBER 31, 2023, AFTER THAT ALL REMOTE SERVICES WILL CEASE ACCORDING TO DDS. DAILY ZOOM ACTIVITIES, DAILY NEWS, EXERCISE CLASSES, SUPPORT GROUP, ADVOCACY CLASS (VOTING) SUPPORT OBTAINING INTERNET, LEARNING HOW TO USE TECHNOLOGY AND DEVICES BOTH FOR INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILIES
