CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF GROUP HOMES AND APARTMENT COMPLEXES THAT PROVIDE YEAR-ROUND CONTROLLED LIVING ARRANGEMENTS ALONG WITH LONG-TERM CARE TO CITIZENS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES RELEASED FROM THE VINELAND STATE SCHOOL. THESE RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS ALLOW APPROXIMATELY 40 DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED INDIVIDUALS TO LIVE THEIR LIVES AS INDEPENDENTLY AS THEY ARE ABLE.


OPERATION OF A YEAR-ROUND ADULT TRAINING CENTER THAT ALLOWS APPROXIMATELY 115 DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED INDIVIDUALS TO PARTICIPATE IN VARIOUS DAY PROGRAMS AND SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT SERVICES. CURRENTLY, THE TRAINING CENTERS OFFERS THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS AND SERVICES: COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING (COMMUNITY-BASED EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS FACILITY PROGRAMMING), LIFE SKILLS (TRAINING IN EVERYDAY LIVING ACTIVITIES AND COMMUNITY INTERACTION), EMPLOYMENT TRAINING PROGAMS (PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE IN PRODUCTION/CONTRACT WORK, FOOD PROCESSING/SERVICE, AND RETAIL SALES), AND THE RECYCLING PROGRAM (PROVIDES VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND THOSE WHO PARTICIPATE ARE COMPENSATED THE MINIMUM WAGE, AS WELL AS, RECEIVE VALUABLE WORK EXPERIENCE).
