TIDES PROVIDES SUPPORT PROGRAMMING TO CHILDREN, TEENS AND ADULTS WHO ARE GRIEVING THE DEATH OF A LOVED ONE. WE BELIEVE THAT GRIEF IS A NATURAL AND NORMAL PROCESS THAT IS UNIQUE TO EACH PERSON. BY OFFERING A JUDGEMENT-FREE AND CARING ENVIRONMENTS, TIDES HELPS INDIVIDUALS OF ALL AGES JOURNEY THROUGH THEIR OWN INDIVIDUALIZED HEALING PROCESS. WE CONNECT WITH INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED LOSS BY HOSTING PEER GRIEF SUPPORT GROUPS, OFFERING EDUCATIONAL AND GUIDANCE SESSIONS, PROVIDE CRISIS RESPONSE SUPPORT, AND OFFER BOOKS AND RESOURCES TO PROVIDE HOPE AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO FAMILIES. THROUGH OUR CORE PROGRAM WE PROVIDE A SAFE SPACE FOR CHILDREN, TEENS, AND ADULTS TO CONNECT, SHARE, AND FIND SUPPORT DURING TIMES OF GRIEF. THE FLAGSHIP PROGRAM, TIDES NIGHTS, TAKES PLACE TWICE A MONTH SEPTEMBER THROUGH MAY AND MONTHLY OVER THE SUMMER. PARTICIPANTS OF ALL AGES COME TOGETHER TO SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER. OVER THE COURSE OF A YEAR, TIDES HOSTS APPROXIMATELY 125 INDIVIDUALS AT TIDES NIGHT GRIEF SUPPORT MEETING. SUPPORT DOES NOT END AT TIDES NIGHTS. TIDES ALSO PROVIDES GUIDANCE AND TRAINING TO LOCAL NON-PROFITS IN OUR COMMUNITY SO THAT THEY CAN BETTER SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE GRIEVING. IN 2021, TIDES EDUCATED OVER 80 PROFESSIONALS AND INDIVIDUALS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF GRIEF SUPPORT AND THE IMPACT IT MAKES ON A PERSON'S LIFE. WHEN A TRAGEDY HAPPENS AND A DEATH OCCURS THAT IMPACTS A LARGE GROUP, TIDES KNOWLEDGEABLE AND COMPASSIONATE STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS ARE THERE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THOSE CHILDREN, TEENS, AND ADULTS AFFECTED. IN 2021, TIDES RESPONDED TO CRISIS TO SUPPORT OVER 200 INDIVIDUALS. TO FURTHER THE SUPPORT OF OUR COMMUNITY, WE ALSO HAVE AN ARRAY OF BOOKS AND RESOURCES RELATED TO GRIEF FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES.AS A CARING AND EMPATHETIC ORGANIZATION, TIDES DOES WHATEVER IS IN OUR CONTROL TO PROVIDE THE BEST SUPPORT TO THOSE WHO NEED IT AFTER THEY LOSE A FAMILY MEMBER OR FRIEND.
