SOCIAL SERVICES PROGRAM FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES CONSISTING OF INFORMATION AND REFERRAL, LANGUAGE SUPPORT, SUPPORTIVE COUNSELING AND EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE SERVICES PROVIDED TO OVER 2,700 DISADVANTAGED AND UNDERPRIVILEDGED CLIENTS TO HELP THEM DEVELOP THEIR MAXIMUM CAPACITY FOR COMMUNITY FUNCTIONING TO PREVENT, REDUCE AND ELIMINATE ANY FORM OF ABUSE, NEGLECT, DEPENDENCY, OR UNNECESSARY INSTITUTIONALIZATION.


REFUGEE SUPPORT SERVICES CONSISTING OF CITIZENSHIP ASSISTANCE AND OUTREACH SERVICES PROVIDED TO OVER 200 LIMITED ENGLISH PROFICIENT REFUGEES TO HELP THEM ADEQUATELY PREPARE FOR THEIR CITIZENSHIP TEST, AND TO ENABLE THEM TO INTERACT WITH MAINSTREAM SERVICE PROVIDERS IN ALL LIFE-ESSENTIAL SITUATIONS AS WELL AS TO CONNECT WITH NEEDED GOVERNMENT-SUPPORTED PROGRAMS AND SERVICES.


COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES CONSISTING OF TRANSLATION, INTERPRETATION, CONSULTATION, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING PROVIDED TO 500 LEGAL IMMIGRANTS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS TO FACILITATE COMMUNICATION, IMPROVE ACCESS TO GOVERNMENT BENEFITS, INCREASE SOCIAL INDEPENDENCE AND FOSTER MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AND ASSISTANCE.
