MEDICAL SERVICES AND FACILITY COSTS FRIENDS OF OAKLAND ANIMAL SERVICES (FOAS) PARTNERS WITH OAKLAND ANIMAL SERVICES (OAS) TO EXPAND LIFE-SAVING SERVICES FOR OAKLAND'S ANIMALS. OAS IS AN OPEN ADMISSION SHELTER WHICH MEANS THAT THEY ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ANIMAL SURRENDERED INTO THEIR CARE. FOAS SUPPORTS OAS BY FUNDING AND STAFFING PROGRAMS THAT REDUCE EUTHANASIA AND INTAKE. FOAS FUNDS AND PROVIDES STAFFING FOR MEDICAL PROCEDURES, FOSTER PROGRAMS, TRANSFER PROGRAMS, AND FREE SPAY AND NEUTER FOR ANIMALS OF OAKLAND RESIDENTS.
