THE ACADEMY OF SAINT CECILIA YOUTH ORCHESTRA IS A MARYLAND NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION THAT IS AN INDEPENDENT MUSIC SCHOOL OFFERING CHILDREN BETWEEN 5 AND HIGH SCHOOL AGE LESSONS, CLASSES AND PUBLIC PERFORMANCES OF MUSICAL COMPOSITIONS IN THE MARYLAND SUBURBAN AREA.

Part 3

MUSIC INSTRUCTION - THE CORNERSTONE OF THE ORGANIZATIONS TEACHING IS CLASS LESSONS FOR ALL AGES AND LEVELS ON STRING, WIND, BRASS AND PERCUSSION INSTRUMENTS. OTHER OFFERINGS INCLUDE PRIVATE LESSONS AND CLASS MUSIC ENSEMBLES. WE PROVIDED INSTRUCTION TO 68 YOUTH DURING THE 2017-2018 FISCAL YEAR.


COMMUNITY CONCERT SERIES - THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES BETWEEN 6 AND 8 FREE COMMUNITY CONCERTS EACH YEAR WITH PERFORMANCES FROM RENOWNED GUESTS, ARTISTS AND FACULTY MEMBERS. IN 2017-2018, A TOTAL OF 6 CONCERTS WERE PROVIDED FOR MARYLAND SUBURBAN AREA RESIDENTS.
