"FAMILY PARTNERSHIPS NETWORK PROJECT. THE PRIMARY GOAL OF THIS PROJECT WAS TO PROMOTE THE SAFETY, EFFICACY AND IMPORTANCE OF VACCINES IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FAMILIES IN MINNESOTA, AND TO DISPEL MYTHS CIRCULATING ON SOCIAL MEDIA.YOUTH AND FAMILIES WERE ENGAGED IN THREE WAYS:1. A ONE-PAGER ADDRESSING KEY VACCINE QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS EXPRESSED BY VACCINE-HESITANT PARENTS;2. PRE-RECORDED WEBINAR CONTENT (PRESENTED BY PARENT LEADER) PROMOTING VACCINE SAFETY, EFFICACY, AND IMPORTANCE AND DISPELLING COMMON VACCINE MYTHS; AND3. PURCHASE AND DISTRIBUTION OF 40 COPIES OF THE BILINGUAL (SOMALI-ENGLISH), MULTICULTURAL CHILDREN'S BOOK, "VACCINES EXPLAINED", TO LIBRARIES SERVING COMMUNITIES WITH LARGE SOMALI MINNESOTAN POPULATIONS, WHICH HAVE HAD HISTORICALLY HIGH LEVELS OF VACCINE HESITANCY. PROJECT FIRSTLINE INITIATIVE TO EDUCATE PEDIATRIIANS STATEWIDE ON NEWEST EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICES IN INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL. REACHED OVER 1,000 PEDATRICIANS AND PEDIATRIC TRAINEES WITH EDUCATIONAL PROJECT RESOURCES INCLUDING INFOGRAPHICS, WEBINARS, AND OTHER CLINIC RESOURCES.
VACCINATE WITH CONFIDENCE PROJECT TO PROMOTE VACCINATION AND REDUCE VACCINE HESITANCY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SOMALI MINNESOTAN COMMUNITY. CONTRACTED WITH 8 SOMALI MINNESOTAN PRACTITIONERS TO PRESENT EACH OF OUR COMMUNITY FORUM VACCINATION TOPICS INCLUDING HEPATITIS, VARICELLA, MENINGOCOCCAL, PNEUMOCOCCAL, MMR, HPV, INFLUENZA, AND COVID-19. 29 PARENTS DIRECTLY ENGAGED IN EDUCATIONAL FORUMS AND 2,968 VIEWS OF RECORDED EDUCATIONAL FORUMS.
