THE GUILD ADVOCATES FOR AUTHORS ON ISSUES OF COPYRIGHT, FAIR CONTRACTS, FREE SPEECH AND TAX FAIRNESS, AND HAS INITIATED LAWSUITS IN DEFENSE OF AUTHORS RIGHTS. WE REPRESENT AUTHORS ON CAPITOL HILL, IN STATE LEGISLATURES AND BEFORE GOVERNMENT ENTITIES.

THE GUILD WORKED ON BEHALF OF ITS MEMBERS TO LITIGATE AND LOBBY FOR FREE SPEECH, COPYRIGHT PROTECTION, AND OTHER ISSUES OF CONCERN TO AUTHORS. IT BROUGHT AUTHORS THE LATEST NEWS RELEVANT TO THEIR WRITING LIFE THROUGH ITS BULLETIN, EMAIL NEWSLETTER, AND WEBSITE. THE GUILD ALSO PROVIDED TUTORIALS AND SEMINARS ONLINE AND VIA CONFERENCE CALLS ON THE BUSINESS OF BEING AN AUTHOR.
THE GUILD BUILT AND HOSTED WEBSITES FOR ITS MEMBERS, AND RESERVED DOMAIN NAMES, SUBMITTED WEBSITES TO SEARCH ENGINES, AND PROVIDED PRIVATE EMAIL ADDRESSES.
