ADARA'S WORK IN MATERNAL NEWBORN CHILD HEALTH MAKES A SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO ENDING THE PREVENTABLE DEATHS OF WOMEN, CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS, AND IN PARTICULAR, NEWBORNS. THIS WORK IS PRIMARILY FOCUSED AT KIWOKO HOSPITAL AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES WHICH ARE LOCATED IN A RURAL AREA NORTH OF THE CAPITAL CITY OF KAMPALA IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COUNTRY

ONE OF THESE PROJECTS IS THE SAFE BUBBLE CPAP PROJECT WHICH WILL ADDRESS THE LACK OF ACCESS IN LOW-RESOURCE SETTINGS TO SAFE AND AFFORDABLE TREATMENT FOR RESPIRATORY DISTRESS SYNDROME - THE MOST COMMON CAUSE OF DISEASE AND DEATH FOR BABIES BORN BEFORE 34 WEEKS GESTATION.
