THE ARC SOUTH BAY IS A NON-PROFIT 501(C)(3) SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCY PROVIDING WORK TRAINING, ADULT DAY CARE, RESIDENTIAL AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS AND SERVICES TO PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES IN THE SOUTH BAY AREA OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY SINCE 1959.

Part 3 - Line 4a

COMMUNITY INTEGRATION PROGRAM - GARDENA IS FUNDED THROUGH REGIONAL CENTERS. THE PROGRAM WORKS TO INTEGRATE CLIENTS INTO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH FIELD TRIPS TO RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES, VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCES (FOOD BANK, ETC), AND OTHER COMMUNITY OUTINGS WHERE INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS TRAINING MAY OCCUR.


SOUTHWEST INDUSTRIES IS A WORK ACTIVITY PROGRAM FUNDED THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF REHABILITATION AND CONTRACTS WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES. ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND/OR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES RECEIVE INSTRUCTION IN PERFORMING PACKAGING AND ASSEMBLY WORK FOR COMMUNITY BUSINESSES.


ADULT DEVELOPMENT CENTER-HERMOSA BEACH - FUNDED BY REGIONAL CENTERS. THIS IS A CENTER BASED PROGRAM FOCUSED ON INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS TRAINING IS CONDUCTED AT THE HERMOSA BEACH COMMUNITY CENTER UNTILIZING THEIR GYMNASIUM AND OUR CLASSROOMS. FIELD TRIPS AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE.
