PACOIMA BEAUTIFUL IS A GRASSROOTS ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES EDUCATION, IMPACTS PUBLIC POLICY, AND SUPPORTS LOCAL ARTS AND CULTURE IN ORDER TO PROMOTE A HEALTHY AND SUSTAINABLE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY.

PACOIMA BEAUTIFUL (PB) IS A GRASSROOTS ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES EDUCATION, IMPACTS LOCAL POLICY AND SUPPORTS LOCAL ARTS AND CULTURE IN ORDER TO PROMOTE A HEALTHY AND SUSTAINABLE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY. PB IS COMMITTED TO BUILDING BY NURTURING PEOPLE POWER SO THAT OUR COMMUNITY CAN INFLUENCE POLICY AND DECISION-MAKING TO CREATE A MORE SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY. AS THE ONLY ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE ORGANIZATION IN THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, PB IS WELL POSITIONED TO ADDRESS MAJOR ISSUES THAT IMPACT OUR COMMUNITY, SUCH AS HOUSING, COVID RECOVERY, AIR QUAILITY ISSUES, LAND USE ISSUES, THE DIGITAL DIVIDE AND PROVIDE WELLNESS SUPPORT. PB ADMINISTERED THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS IN FISCAL YEAR 2020/2021: YOUTH ENVIRONMENTALIST, COMMUNITY ORGANIZING, SAFER HOMES FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITY, AND COMMUNITY PLANNING AND POLICY. ALL THE GRANTS THAT WE MANAGE FELL INTO ONE OR ALL OF THESE PROGRAMS. EACH OF THESE PROGRAMS ACCOMPLISH PB'S GOAL OF PROVIDING THE RESIDENTS OF THE NORTHEAST SAN FERNANDO VALLEY WITH ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION, THE TOOLS TO BECOME ADVOCATES FOR SUSTAINABLE CHANGES IN THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE COMMUNITY, AND THE LEADERSHIP SKILLS TO PARTICIPATE IN DIALOGUES WITH COMMUNITY LEADERS TO IMPROVE THE ENVIRONMENT. PB SERVED OVER 10,000 PEOPLE PER YEAR THROUGH OUR PROGRAMS, EVENTS AND OUTREACH.
