ELACC'S MISSION IS TO ADVOCATE FOR ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL JUSTICE IN BOYLE HEIGHTS AND EAST LOS ANGELES BY BUILDING GRASSROOTS LEADERSHIP, DEVELOPING AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND NEIGHBORHOOD ASSETS, AND PROVIDING ACCESS TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO LOW AND MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES.

A. COMMUNITY WEALTH:1. THROUGH VITA, FILED MORE THAN 200 FREE TAX RETURNS FOR LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS.2. SERVED 290 CLIENTS THROUGH FINANCIAL EDUCATION WORKSHOPS AND FINANCIAL COACHING. 3. 55 PARTICIPANTS WERE ENROLLED IN OUR LENDING CIRCLES CREDIT BUILDING PROGRAM.3. THROUGH OUR HOMEBUYER EDUCATION AND COUNSELING, PREPARED FUTURE HOMEOWNERS IN FIRST TIME HOMEBUYER EDUCATION AND ONE-ON-ONE PRE-PURCHASE COUNSELING.


B. AFFORDABLE HOUSING:1. MANAGE IN-HOUSE PORTFOLIO OF 60 AFFORDABLE HOUSING UNITS AND 10 COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES. MORE THAN 2,000 INDIVIDUALS HOUSED IN OUR AFFORDABLE HOUSING PORTFOLIO AND 23 SMALL BUSINESSES ARE SERVED IN OUR COMMERCIAL PROPERTY PORTFOLIO.2. ASSET MANAGE LOW INCOME HOUSING TAX CREDIT PROTFOLIO OF 918 AFFORDABLE HOUSING UNITS.3. PROJECT MANAGER 5 NEW AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENTS
