THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF FRIENDS OF IVANHOE IS TO RAISE FUNDS AND OBTAIN DONATIONS TO SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL, STUDENT, TEACHING ENRICHMENT AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAMS FOR IVANHOE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THE TEACHING POSITIONS THAT FRIENDS OF IVANHOE HELPS TO FUND INCLUDE: PE COACHES, AIDES IN THE KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOMS, AN ACADEMIC SUPPORT COACH, A MATH COACH, AND A TECHNOLOGY/INTERVENTION COACH. FRIENDS OF IVANHOE ALSO RAISES FUNDS TO PAY FOR COMPUTERS USED BY THE STUDENTS AND THE TEACHERS AT IVANHOE ELEMENTARY.

THE ONE TO ONE PROGRAM IS A PROGRAM WHEREBY EVERY 5TH GRADE STUDENT AT IVANHOE RECEIVES A LAPTOP COMPUTER WHICH THEY USE ON A DAILY BASIS IN THE CLASSROOM AND FOR ASSIGNMENTS. SOME STUDENTS OWN THEIR COMPUTERS WHILE OTHER STUDENTS USE COMPUTERS THAT ARE LEASED BY THE SCHOOL ON THEIR BEHALF.
