PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION REPRESENTS PROGRAMS CONDUCTED FOR THE PURPOSE OF INFORMING THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON ALL ASPECTS OF ARTHRITIS, INCLUDING INFORMATION REGARDING AWARENESS OF THE DISEASE, ELIMINATING MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT ARTHRITIS, ADVISING OF THE BENEFITS OF EARLY DETECTION, INTERVENTION AND TREATMENT, AND MAINTAINING APPROPRIATE HEALTH BEHAVIORS. EXAMPLES INCLUDE MUCH OF THE ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH ARTHRITIS TODAY OR ADVOCACY.
