BRITE INITIATIVE INCORPORATED IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO DELIVER COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES TO THE MARGINALIZED AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN OF HAITI WHO ARE AFFECTED BY POVERTY,INADEQUATE HEALTHCARE AND ILLITERACY.

ECOLE COMMUNUNATAIRE JEREMIE ST. FORT DE RODAILLEIN ITS 12TH SCHOOL YEAR, IT IS KNOWN AS ONE OF THE BEST SCHOOLS IN SOUTH-EAST HAITI WITH THE HIGHEST PASSING RATES. THE SCHOOL HAS A STAFF OF 29 AND OVER 180 STUDENTS ARE ENROLLED. THIS YEAR THE SCHOOL RECEIVED A LARGE INSTALLMENT OF THE SCHOOL PROJECT. THE NEW CAMPUS WILL INCLUDE 12 CLASSROOMS, AN ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, CAFETERIA, AND A COMMUNITY CENTER. THE COMMUNITY CENTER WILL HOLD OUR CLINIC, PHARMACY, LIBRARY, COMPUTER CENTER AND A FINANCIAL CO OP FOR OUR MICROLOAN PROGRAM.
MEDICAL PROGRAM FOR THE RESIDENTS OR RODAILLE, AND OUR STUDENTS. FOR MANY THE NEAREST HOSPITAL IS OVER AN HOUR AND A FEW RIVERS AWAY AND IN MOST CASES THEY DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO GO SEE A DOCTOR FOR REGULAR CHECKUPS. WE DECIDED TO LAUCH A MEDICAL PROGRAM, WHERE WE PROVIDE REGULAR CHECKUPS.

BRITER FUTURE YOUNG ADULT MENTORING PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM HELPS US DEVELOP A RELATIONSHIP AND GO THE DISTANCE WITH SOME INDIVIDUALS WHO WOULD OTHERWISE NOT HAVE THE FINANCIAL, SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT TO BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT AND PRODUCTIVE MEBERS OF THEIR SOCIETY.
