BERKELEY COMMUNITY MEDIAS MISSION IS TO OPERATE TWO 24 HOUR COMMUNITY CABLE CHANNELS. ONE DEVOTED TO PUBLIC ACCESS PROGRAMMING AND THE OTHER DEVOTED TO EDUCATIONAL AND GOVERNMENT ACCESS PROGRAMMING. THIS INCLUDES CABLE-CASTING OF ALL CITY GOVERNMENT MEETINGS IN THE CITY OF BERKELEY. BERKELEY COMMUNITY MEDIA HAS AN INTENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM, WHERE COMMUNITY MEMBERS CAN BECOME TRAINED IN THE USE OF HAND-HELD FIELD CAMERAS AND COMPUTER BASED NON-LINEAR EDITING SYSTEMS.
