CAPIC ORGANIZES AND OVERSEES A PSYCHOLOGY INTERNSHIP TRAINING NETWORK THAT SERVES STUDENTS AND MEETS THE EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS OF THE CALIFORNIA BOARD OF PSYCHOLOGY IN PARTIAL FULFILLMENT OF LICENSING REGULATIONS. CAPIC ALSO ADMINISTERS A GRANT FROM THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF STATEWIDE HEALTH PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT THAT PROVIDES STIPENDS TO PSYCHOLOGY INTERNS WHO ARE TRAINING IN PUBLICLY FUNDED MENTAL HEALTH AGENCIES AND WHO ARE COMMITTED TO WORKING WITH CLIENTS OF THIS SYSTEM IN THEIR FUTURE CAREER. THE GRANT ALSO PROVIDES FUNDS FOR DEVELOPING APPROPRIATE MENTAL HEALTH CLINICAL TRAINING CURRICULUM.
