THE MISSION OF LIVERMORE VALLEY OPERA (LVO) IS TO ENRICH ITS COMMUNITY BY PRODUCING WORLD CLASS OPERAS AND FOSTERING CAREERS OF PROFESSIONAL OPERA SINGERS. LVO ENCOURAGES A WIDER APPRECIATION OF OPERA AND THE ASSOCIATED ART THROUGH COMMUNITY OUTREACH.

LIVERMORE VALLEY OPERA(LVO) GENERALLY PRODUCES TWO OPERAS WITH FOUR PERFORMANCE EACH DURING EACH FISCAL YEAR. HOWEVER, DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC, LVO WAS NOT ABLE TO PRODUCE OPERAS THIS FISCAL YEAR. INSTEAD LVO PRODUCED SEVERAL CONCERTS VIA VIDEO STREAMING FOR ITS PATRONS. TOTAL COSTS, INCLUDING ANCILLARY EXPENSES, FOR THESE CONCERTS WAS $96,506. THIS WAS SOMEWHAT OFFSET BY ASSOCIATED REVENUES OF $13,665. AS WITH ALL OPERA COMPANIES THE REMAINING DEFICIT WAS MET BY CONTRIBUTIONS AND OPERATING FUNDS. ALSO DURING THE YEAR LVO SOLICITED ENDOWMENT FUNDS FROM ITS PATRONS, RESULTING IN $128,583 IN RESTRICTED FUNDS AT JUNE 30, 2021.
