IN ACCORD WITH OUR GOAL, THE ORCHESTRA DEVELOPED A VITAL PROGRAM TO MAKE MUSIC MORE ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE IN LOS ANGELES, OFFERING FREE OR AFFORDABLE CONCERTS OF HIGH QUALITY, ESPECIALLY IN COMMUNITIES THAT ARE UNDERSERVED BY THE ARTS; SPECIAL PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN AND MINORITIES; A SUMMER ARTS CAMP, AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS AND A STELLAR MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAM THAT HAS REACHED OVER 100,000 STUDENTS IN 80 PUBLIC SCHOOLS.IN RESPONSE TO THE CALIFORNIA MANDATE DUE TO THE COVID-19 VIRUS, THE MARCH 28, 2020 CONCERT AND THE SUMMER ARTS CAMP WERE CANCELLED. SUBSEQUENT CONCERTS AND EDUCATIONAL PPROGRAMS WERE PRESENTED VIRTUALLY, AND ACTUALLY REACH A WIDER AUDIENCE THAN THE LIVE PROGRAMS.
