COMMUNITY MEDIA --EL TECOLOTE IS THE LONGEST CONTINUOUSLY PUBLISHED BILINGUAL NEWSPAPER IN CALIFORNIA. WE DISTRIBUTE 10,000 FREE COPIES EVERY TWO WEEKS AT MORE THAN 350 LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE BAY AREA WHERE THERE ARE HIGH CONCENTRATIONS OF LATINOS. EL TECOLOTE IS ALSO PUBLISHED ONLINE AT WWW.ELTECOLOTE.ORG. THIS YEAR, WE WORKED WITH MORE THAN 30 VOLUNTEER BAY AREA COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND STUDENTS FROM LOCAL UNIVERSITIES TO COVER ISSUES OF GENTRIFICATION AND DISPLACEMENT, AFFORDABLE HOUSING, CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM, IMMIGRANT RIGHTS, AND LABOR. IN 2023, EL TECOLOTE EARNED 13 AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE AT THE GREATER BAY AREA JOURNALISM AWARDS BY THE SAN FRANCISCO PENINSULA PRESS CLUB, AND WE CELEBRATED OUR 53RD ANNIVERSARY WITH A COMMUNITY GALA.
IN MARCH 2023, ACCIN LATINA WAS RECOGNIZED FOR ITS ACHIEVEMENTS AS ONE OF THE YERBA BUENA CENTER FOR THE ARTS 100 HONOREES. ------------------------------ ENCUENTRO DEL CANTO POPULAR IS OUR YEAR-END CONCERT: OVER 40 YEARS IN THE MAKING, THIS PROGRAM IS OUR SECOND OLDEST PROJECT. ------------------------------ PASEO ARTSTICO IS A FREE, BILINGUAL ARTS- ACTIVITY, ARTS-STROLL. THE EVENT FEATURES AND RECOGNIZES ARTISTS WHO LIVE OR WORK IN THE MISSION DISTRICT AS WELL AS THOSE ARTISTS WHOSE WORK REFLECTS SOLIDARITY AND A STRONG SENSE OF CULTURAL HERITAGE. ARTISTS PRESENT THEIR WORK AND MULTI DISCIPLINARY ART- ACTIVITIES AT VARIOUS VENUES ON CALLE 24/24TH STREET CORRIDOR

RADIO TECO - WE PRODUCED 21 ONLINE PODCAST EPISODES FOR RADIO TECO NEWS (FORMERLY LATINA LATINO LATINX NEWS), A BIWEEKLY PODCAST FOCUSING ON ALL MATTERS THAT AFFECT OUR LATINO/A/X COMMUNITY AND BEYOND; 12 ONLINE EPISODES OF RADIO TECO CULTURA ( FORMERLY CULTURAL NEWS PODCAST), A MONTHLY PODCAST THAT CENTERS LATINX CULTURAL MAKERS, FOR A TOTAL OF 33 RADIO TECO ONLINE PODCAST EPISODES.
