THE MISSION OF NEVADA COUNTY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION IS TO PRESERVE AND DEVELOP AFFORDABLE HOUSING TO ADDRESS THE NEED OF LIMITED INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEVADA COUNTY. NCHDC PURCHASED AND OPENED AN ADDITIONAL HOME/PROGRAM THIS YEAR IN GRASS VALLEY TO PROVIDE PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING FOR PEOPLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS. OVERALL NCHDC PROVIDED HOUSING AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOROVER 300 LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS IN NEVADA COUNTY. IN ADDITION, NCHDC SECURED FUNDS TO PROVIDE HOMELESS PREVENTION AND RAPID REHOUSING THROUGHOUT NEVADA COUNTY IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC.
