THE ORGANIZATION'S ACTIVITIES INCLUDE THE OPERATION OF A MISSION FOR THE POOR AND HOMELESS. SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDE SHELTER, MEALS, CLOTHING, SHOWER/LAUNDRY, CASE MANAGEMENT AND REFERRAL SERVICES. CLIENTS ARE TAUGHT ABOUT THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST.
IN OCTOBER OF 2015, THE BAKERSFIELD RESCUE MISSION OPENED A THRIFT STORE NAMED ENCORE BOUTIQUE AT 1817 EYE STREET. THE MISSION RECEIVES DONATIONS AT THE MAIN OFFICE ON E. 21ST STREET AND AT THE STORE.
