THE CALIFORNIA COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATION IS A TRADE ASSOCIATION THAT PROVIDES NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE INCUMBENT LOCAL EXCHANGE CARRIERS (ILECS) AND BROADBAND COMPANIES SERVING CALIFORNIA AND THE COMPANIES THAT PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE ILECS. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO PROVIDES TRAINING OF MUTUAL INTEREST TO ITS MEMBERS AND ANNUAL TRADESHOW WHERE SUPPLIER MEMBERS DEMONSTRATE PRODUCTS FOR ITS MEMBERS AND AN ANNUAL FALL CONFERENCE TO UPDATE MEMBERS ON CURRENT EVENTS. THERE ARE CURRENTLY 16 ILEC COMPANIES IN CALIFORNIA, 12 ARE MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION. THE ASSOCIATION HAS APPROXIMATELY 105 ASSOCIATE (SUPPLIER) MEMBERS.
