THE ALLIANCE FOR A HEALTHIER SOUTH CAROLINA IS A COALITION OF MORE THAN 50 EXECUTIVE LEADERS FROM DIVERSE ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS THE STATE WORKING TOGETHER TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF ALL SOUTH CAROLINIANS. THE ALLIANCE FOCUSES PRIMARILY ON ALIGNING HEALTH EQUITY-BASED GOALS, METRICS, AND ACTIONS ACROSS ORGANIZATIONS, INSTITUTIONS, AND AGENCIES AT BOTH THE STATE AND COMMUNITY LEVELS AND ACTIVELY CONNECTING EXISTING AND PLANNED EQUITY-FOCUSED WORK ON THE POLICY AND PRACTICE FRONTS.

WITH SUPPORT FROM OTHER ALLIANCE MEMBERS, YOU CAN MAKE YOUR VOICE LOUDER AND BUILD COLLABORATIVE CONNECTIONS TO ALIGN EFFORTS AND PARTNER ON HEALTH IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES. CREATE VISIBILITY FOR AN ORGANIZATION WITH A STATEWIDE AUDIENCE AND GAIN ACCESS TO A STRONG NETWORK OF LEADERS AND RESOURCES TO SUPPORT AN ORGANIZATION'S MISSION.
LIVE HEALTHY ANNUAL EVENT. THE ALLIANCE WORKS TO CONNECT AND CONVENE PARTNERS AROUND THE LIVE HEALTHY SOUTH CAROLINA (LHSC) PRIORITIES TO RAISE UP HEALTH IMPROVEMENT AND EQUITY WORK HAPPENING IN COMMUNITIES ACROSS SOUTH CAROLINA TO SHOWCASE BEST-PRACTICES, LESSONS LEARNED AND PROMOTE COLLABORATIVE CONNECTIONS THAT BUILD TRUST. WE USE THE LHSC PRIORITIES TO COMMUNICATE EFFICIENCY TO ALIGN PARTNER RESOURCES AND BUILD CAPACITY THAT SUPPORTS EQUITABLE HEALTH.
HEALTH EQUITY SUMMIT: THE ALLIANCE HOSTED THE 5TH ANNUAL HEALTH EQUITY SUMMIT IN 2023. CRITICAL TRACKS FOR THIS EVENT INCLUDED FORCES FOR CHANGE, EMPOWERED COMMUNITIES, AND SHARED CULTURES. FORCES FOR CHANGE ALLOWED ATTENDEES TO EXPLORE THE LATEST RESEARCH, POLICIES, AND INITIATIVES DRIVING POSITIVE CHANGES IN HEALTH EQUITY. AND TO SHARE SUCCESS STORIES AND LESSONS LEARNED FROM IMPACTFUL INTERVENTIONS AND COLLABORATIONS. EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES TO SHOWCASE COMMUNITY-LED INITIATIVES THAT ENABLE INDIVIDUALS TO CARE FOR THEIR HEALTH AND DISCUSS STRATEGIES FOR BUILDING STRONG COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS AND ENGAGING DIVERSE POPULATIONS.
