TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT HORTICULTURE IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. TO PROVIDE INSPIRATION AND EDUCATION TO THE NORTHWEST GARDENING COMMUNITY THROUGH CLASSES, TOURS, SYMPOSIUMS, WORKSHOPS, PLANT SALES, PUBLICATIONS AND THROUGH SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS. TO PROVIDE FURTHER EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT OF NORTHWEST HORTICULTURE THROUGH THE SUPPORT OF THE ELISABETH C MILLER HORTICULTURAL LIBRARY. TO PROVIDE FURTHER INSPIRATIONAL SUPPORT THROUGH THE SUPPORT OF RELATED HORTICULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS AND HORTICULTURAL PROJECTS IN THE NORTHWEST.

ONLINE CLASSES, LECTURES AND A SYMPOSIUM WERE OFFERED. A NEWSLETTER WITH HORTICULTURAL INFORMATION WAS PROVIDED. A WEBSITE WAS MAINTAINED WITH HORTICULTURAL INFORMATION AND LECTURE AND CLASS SCHEDULES.


A CASH GRANT TO THE ELISABETH C MILLER HORTICULTURAL LIBRARY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON CENTER FOR URBAN HORTICULTURE WAS GIVEN ALONG WITH GRANTS TO JOHN A WOTT ENDOWED STUDENT AWARD, GARDEN RAISED BOUNTY, PLANT AMNESTY, THE PORT GAMBLE S'KLALLAM FOUNDATION, UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON FOUNDATION, AND NURTURING ROOTS.
