THE ORCAS ISLAND HISTORICAL SOCIETY OPERATES TWO MUSEUMS. THE ORCAS ISLAND HISTORICAL MUSEUM (OIHM) AND THE CROW VALLEY SCHOOL (CVS). OIHM IS OPEN 6 DAYS A WEEK MAY TO SEPTEMBER AND SATURDAYS FROM OCTOBER THROUGH MAY. CVS IS OPEN TWO DAYS PER WEEK FROM MAY TO SEPTEMBER. OIHM INCLUDES FIXED EXHIBITS HOUSED IN FIVE HISTORICAL LOG CABINS AND A CENTRAL EXHIBIT GALLERY, IN WHICH EXHIBITS ROTATE EACH SEASON. VBS IS A RESTORED ONE-ROOM SCHOOL HOUSE WITH PERMANENT EDUCATION, HISTORICAL EXHISBITS FROM THE SAN JUAN ISLANDS.
