THE ORGANIZATION IS DEDICATED TO HELPING DOGS RECOVER FROM TRAUMA SUCH AS NEGLECT, ABUSE, LONG-TERM CONFINEMENT OR OTHER SPECIAL CASES. OUR PROGRAMS PROVIDE RESCUE, RECOVERY, SOCIALIZATION, TRAINING AND PLACEMENT FOR DOGS THAT OTHER RESCUES CANNOT PLACE.

CRCCS IS A RESCUE AND RECOVERY CENTER FOR DOGS AND CATS THAT HAVE BEEN THROUGH TRAUMA AND FOR THE PETS OF PEOPLE THAT ARE GOING THROUGH TRAUMA OR MAJOR LIFE CHANGE. THROUGH POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT AND SLOW INTEGRATION INTO PLAYGROUPS, BASIC TRAINING SESSIONS AND PRACTICE OUT IN THE COMMUNITY, WE REHABILITATE THE DOGS PRIOR TO PLACING THEM IN FOREVER LOVING HOMES. - VETERINARIAN SERVICES - WE PROVIDED OVER 9,000 OF VETERINARY AND MEDICAL CARE TO THE DOGS IN THE SANCTUARY. - DAY CAMPS - IN ADDITION, WE OFFER DAY CAMP PROGRAMS TO HELP FAMILIES THAT HAVE RECENTLY ADOPTED A DOG FROM EITHER OUR SANCTUARY OR ANY OTHER SHELTER THE INSTRUCTION NECESSARY TO LEARN BASIC COMMANDS, IMPROVE LEASH WALKING SKILLS AND OTHER TRAININGS. THE PROGRAM BUILDS CONFIDENCE, EXPANDS SOCIAL CIRCLES AND DEVELOPS BASIC FOUNDATIONAL TRAINING FOR RESCUE DOGS. - RE-HOMING - RE-HOMING FOCUSES ON HELPING DOGS FIND NEW HOMES WHEN CIRCUMSTANCES OF THEIR OWNERS CHANGE AND CARE FOR THE PETS CAN NO LONGER BE PROVIDED IN THE CURRENT HOME. WE ARE CURRENTLY SERVING THE NORTHERN NEVADA AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA REGIONS.
CRCCS OPERATES A TRAINING DIVISION. THIS DIVISION INCLUDES BEHAVIORAL CONSULTATIONS, INTENSIVE TRAINING FOR SPECIFIC ISSUES AND CLASSES IN LOOSE-LEASH WALKING, IDENTIFYING AGGRESSION AND UNDERSTANDING CANINE COMMUNICATION. THE GOAL IS TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF DOGS GIVEN-UP TO SHELTERS BY OFFERING EDUCATIONAL TOOLS AND SOLUTIONS TO BEHAVIORAL CHALLENGES THAT OFTEN ACCOMPANY DOG OWNERSHIP.
CRCCS PROVIDES A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS FOR CATS AS WELL AS DOGS. TRAP ASSISTANCE FOR SPAY/NEUTER, MONTHLY DELIVERY OF SUPPLIES FOR SENIORS/VETERANS/LOW INCOME FAMILIES THAT OWN CATS AND NEED HELP, RETENTION PROGRAMS, SAVING OVERFLOW FROM SHELTERS, FOSTER, HOSPICE, BEHAVIOR HELP AND INFORMATION LINE.
