PROVIDE A FORUM TO DISCUSS AND ACT UPON ISSUES OF CONCERN TO AAPI COMMUNITIES OF COLORADO AND SUPPORT AAPI COMMUNITIES IN PRESERVING AND ADVANCING THEIR CULTURAL HERITAGE.

IN 2021 THE ASIAN ROUNDTABLE RECEIVED A TWO-YEAR COLORADO HEALTH FOUNDATION GRANT TO CREATE PROGRAMS TO COUNTER THE ANTI-ASIAN HATE THAT HAD BECOME A GROWING PROBLEM AFTER THE ONSET OF COVID. THE ARC HELD NUMEROUS COMMUNITY MEETING IN VARIOUS AAPI COMMUNITIES, SUCH AS HMONG, FILIPINO, KOREAN, CHINESE, ETC IN ORDER TO DEVELOP COMMUNITY PARTNERS THAT COULD ACT AS EDUCATORS FOR THEIR COMMUNITIES ON HOW TO RESPOND TO INSTANCES OF ANTI-ASIAN HATE. IN 2023 WE EXPANDED THE AAPI COHORT GROUP, CONTINUED TRANSLATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF MULTI-LINGUAL RESOURCES, CONTINUED DATA COLLECTION AND LEARNING, CONTINUED TRAINING AND EDUCATION THE COMMUNITY ON AAPI DISCRIMINATION, AND ENGAGED AND ADVOCATED FOR AAPI INCLUSIVE POLICY CHANGES WITH KEY ELECTED OFFICIALS.
