VOICES OF ALZHEIMER'S INCREASES AWARENESS OF ISSUES AFFECTING PEOPLE WITH ALZHEIMER'S AND OTHER DEMENTIAS. AMONG OTHER THINGS, THE ORGANIZATION (1) HOLDS QUARTERLY INFORMATIONAL WEBINAR SERIES FOR ITS MEMBERS, WHICH ARE ORGANIZED BY THIRD-PARTY CONSULTANTS, (2) PROVIDES MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS FOR ITS MEMBERS WITH INFORMATION ON CURRENT AND PROPOSED POLICIES AND LEGISLATION RELATED TO BRAIN HEALTH, HEALTHY AGING AND THE TREATMENT AND CARE OF PEOPLE WITH ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE, (3) PROVIDES AN ADVOCACY TOOL KIT FOR ITS MEMBERS THAT INFORMS ITS MEMBERS HOW THEY CAN USE THEIR INDIVIDUAL STRENGTHS TO PROMOTE ALZHEIMER'S AND DEMENTIA AWARENESS, (4) PROVIDES BRIEFING DOCUMENTS ON PROPOSED LEGISLATION OR POLICY IMPACTING PEOPLE LIVING WITH ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AND ORGANIZING MEMBER ADVOCACY, AND (5) HOLDS ANNUAL MEETINGS FOR ITS MEMBERS TO DISCUSS THE ISSUES RELATED TO ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AND ITS AWARENESS. THESE ACTIVITIES TAKE UP MOST OF THE ORGANIZATION'S TIME AND ARE FUNDED THROUGH DONATIONS AND MEMBERSHIP FEES. THESE ACTIVITIES HELP FURTHER THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE OF RAISING AWARENESS OF ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AND DEMENTIAS.
