ACRES OF HOPE PROVIDES YEAR-ROUND, ONGOING MENTORING AND SUPPORT FOR SPECIFIC YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN IN THE LEXINGTON, KY REGIONAL AREA. MENTORING AND SUPPORT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE PROVIDING MEALS, CLOTHING, SHELTER, GROUP ACTIVITIES, AND OTHER BASIC LIVING EXPENSES.


ACRES OF HOPE PARTNERS WITH THE FOOTBALL TEAM OF BRYAN STATION MIDDLE SCHOOL IN LEXINGTON, KY. AS A PART OF THIS RELATIONSHIP, VOLUNTEERS MENTOR AND SUPPORT SEVERAL SPECIFIC YOUNG MEN ON THE TEAM AND THE TEAM AS A WHOLE. IN JUNE 2023, THE CHARITY PROVIDED NEW HELMETS AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT FOR THE TEAM.


IN DECEMBER 2023, ACRES OF HOPE PAID RENT DIRECTLY TO HENSON INVESTMENT PROPERTIES LLC IN LEXINGTON, KY, ON BEHALF OF CLAUDE AND C.J. JACKSON, WHO ARE A FATHER AND SON MENTORED BY ACRES OF HOPE VOLUNTEERS.


ACRES OF HOPE SUPPORTS THE LOCAL CATHOLIC ACTION CENTER (CAC) WITH FOOD AND SUPPLIES AS NEEDED. THE CAC IS A SHELTER OFFERING MEALS, RESTROOMS, TELEPHONES, CLOTHING, OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS, AND CONNECTION TO OTHER LOCAL SERVICES FOR THE HOMELESS AND DISENFRANCHISED COMMUNITY IN LEXINGTON, KY.
