OUR STORIES, OURSELVES (2 TO 4 EVENTS) IS A SERIES OF PANEL FORMAT READINGS/CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN BIPOC LITERARY ARTISTS AND WIDELY CROSS-CULTURAL AUDIENCES. MOST OF THESE EVENTS ARE FOLLOWED BY TWO COMMUNITY-BASED WRITING WORKSHOPS LED BY ARTISTS FROM THAT PANEL EVENT. WRITER TO WRITER (2 TO 3 EVENTS) PAIRS TWO ACCOMPLISHED BIPOC WRITERS IN PUBLIC CONVERSATION WITH EACH OTHER ABOUT THEIR CHALLENGES, ASPIRATIONS, AND WRITING PRACTICE. EMBRACING OUR ROOTS (2 TO 4 EVENTS) PAIRS AN ELDER LITERARY ARTS ACTIVIST WITH A NEXT-GENERATION ARTIST TO MINE THE CONTINUUM OF CULTURAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE THAT BUILT TODAY'S COMMUNITIES OF BIPOC WRITERS. WE REACH APPROXIMATELY 500 AUDIENCE MEMBERS THROUGH OUR COMBINATION OF PROGRAMS EACH YEAR. IN 2023, WE PRODUCED OUR FIRST WEEKEND WRITING (SEE ATTACHED SCHEDULE O)INTENSIVE FOR 34 BLACK WRITERS, WRITING TO TRANSFORM TRAUMA. IT WAS 2.5 DAYS OF WRITING/MULTI-ARTS WORKSHOPS CULMINATING IN A READING PERFORMANCE0 COMMUNITY CONVERSATION.
