TO ELIMINATE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BY PROMOTING SAFE FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH EMPOWERMENT-BASED ADVOCACY; PROVIDING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO CENTERS AND PROVIDERS; AND ENGAGING IN SYSTEMS AND SOCIAL CHANGE

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES EDUCATION, SUPPORT AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO 40 STATEWIDE DV CERTIFIED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROVIDERS AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO EFFECTIVELY OPERATE EMERGENCY SHELTER AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. THE ORGANIZATION SERVES AS AN INFORMATION CLEARINGHOUSE, PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT, AND RESOURCE CENTER ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA; FOLLOWS AND PROVIDES UPDATES ON RELEVANT NATIONAL DEVELOPMENTS; AND ADVOCATES ON A STATEWIDE LEVEL TO ENHANCE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INTERVENTION AND PREVENTION IN FLORIDA. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS COOPERATIVELY WITH ALL RELATED STATE AND FEDERAL AGENCIES TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF SAFETY AND SERVICES TO ADULT AND CHILDREN SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
