SOCIAL JUSTICE HAS USED SEVERAL EFFECTIVE MOTIVATIONAL TACTICS TO ENGAGE AND INSPIRE THEIR AUDIENCE. WE CELEBRATE CULTURAL HERITAGE THROUGH EVENTS LIKE JUNETEENTH, A CULTURAL CELEBRATION AND SOUL FOOD SUNDAY WHICH PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT APPRECIATE THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF AFRICAN AMERICANS TO OUR SOCIETY. WE UPLIFT MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES SUCH AS BLACK DESCENDANTS AND INDIGENOUS PEOPLES THROUGH EVENTS LIKE POWER IN UNITY AND SYSTEMIC ISSUES ON TAP WHICH AIM TO BREAK DOWN BARRIERS AND CREATE A MORE INCLUSIVE AND EQUITABLE SOCIETY. WE PROMOTE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT THROUGH EVENTS LIKE ROCK THE VOTE, WHICH ENCOURAGES YOUNG PEOPLE TO EXERCISE THEIR RIGHT TO VOTE AND PARTICIPATE IN THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS. TOGETHER WE CHALLENGE SYSTEMIC INJUSTICES THROUGH THE SAFE PLACE PLEDGE INITIATIVE, WHICH ASKS BUSINESS AND INDIVIDUALS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE IMPACT OF THESE INJUSTICES ON MARJINALIZED COMMUNITIES AND TAKE ACTION TO COUNTERACT THEM.
