BEST START CENTRAL LONG BEACH: BEST START CENTRAL LONG BEACH IS A NETWORK THAT BRINGS PARENTS, CAREGIVERS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, AND POLICYMAKERS TOGETHER TO CHANGE POLICIES AND SYSTEMS THAT IMPROVE THE LIVES OF CHILDREN 0-5 AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE NETWORK FOCUSES ON IMPROVING CHILDCARE ACCESS, HOUSING AND ECONOMIC SECURITY, HEALTHY PARENTING, AND CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION.

HEALTHY LB: THE HEALTHY LB CAMPAIGN IS A COMMUNITY-LED EFFORT BETWEEN NEIGHBORHOOD LEADERS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS THE CITY'S MOST VULNERABLE NEIGHBORHOODS TO DELIVER PUBLIC HEALTH INFORMATION, COMMIT PEOPLE TO BE VACCINATED, AND SUPPORT FAMILIES IN NAVIGATING THE RAPIDLY CHANGING COVID-19 LANDSCAPE.


LET'S LEARN TOGETHER: LET'S LEARN TOGETHER IS A COMMUNITY CHANGE PROJECT LED BY BEST START CENTRAL LONG BEACH PARENTS AND ORGANIZATIONS WHERE PARENTS PARTICIPATE IN A SERIES OF WORKSHOPS THAT FOCUS ON PREVENTING CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT, LEARNING ABOUT HEALTHY PARENTING, AND NURTURING PARENT CONNECTION TO THEIR YOUNG CHILDREN.
