TO ELEVATE THE VOICES OF LATINAS AND LATINOS, CREATE OPPORTUNITIES WHERE LATINAS AND LATINOS CAN ADVOCATE FOR THEMSELVES, AND INCREASE LATINA AND LATINO REPRESENTATION AND PARTICIPATION IN DECISION-MAKING TABLES.

POLICY/ADVOCACY: THE ORGANIZATION TRAINS AND MOBILIZES LATINA AND LATINO LEADERS TO INFORM PUBLIC POLICY AND CHANGE INEQUITABLE SYSTEMS. THE FOCUS IS ON SOCIAL JUSTICE POLICY ISSUES, INCLUDING IMMIGRATION, HEALTHCARE, PUBLIC EDUCATION, ECONOMIC MOBILITY, AND MORE. IN 2021, THE ORGANIZATION RECORDED 1,606 LEADERS TAKING PART IN ADVOCACY AND POLICY WORK.


LEADERSHIP: THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS THE GROWTH AND EDUCATION OF LATINA AND LATINO LEADERS THROUGH CULTURALLY AND LINGUISTICALLY EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS. THESE PROGRAMS PLACE LEADERS IN OPPORTUNITIES WHERE THEY CAN LEAD IN THEIR OWN COMMUNITIES TO CREATE SYSTEMATIC CHANGE. IN 2021, THE ORGANIZATION HAD 261 LEADERS TAKE PART IN LEADERSHIP, PROGRAMMING, SUPPORTS, OR EVENTS.


COMMUNITY RESOURCES: THE ORGANIZATION CONNECTS LEADERS IN THE COMMUNITY TO CRITICAL INFORMATION AND ESSENTIAL SERVICES. DUE TO COVID-19, THE ORGANIZATION SPENT A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF TIME AND RESOURCES MODELING HOW DIRECT AID AND CRITICAL SERVICES SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED FOR THE LATINO COMMUNITY. IN 2021, THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTED 3,489 PEOPLE WITH DIRECT SERVICES, FINANCIAL AID, AND/OR RECEIVED A VACCINE AT A VOCES UNIDAS COMMUNITY CLINIC.


CIVIC ENGAGEMENT: THE ORGANIZATION EDUCATES AND MOBILIZES LATINO VOTERS TO INCREASE PARTICIPATION IN LOCAL ELECTIONS. THIS INCLUDES NON-PARTISAN VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVES, ISSUE EDUCATION, AND GET OUT THE VOTE INITIATIVES. IN 2021, THE ORGANIZATION ENGAGED 33,047 LATINA AND LATINO VOTERS.
