WHY IS #SUPPLYCHAINOKI DOING THIS WORK?SCOKI WAS CREATED TO HELP EMPLOYERS MEET THEIR WORKFORCE NEEDS. THIS WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED BY HELPING ADULTS AND STUDENTS GET JOBS WITH CAREERS IN SUPPLY CHAIN, CONSTRUCTION AND MANUFACTURING. TODAY'S GREATEST CHALLENGE FOR EMPLOYERS IS FINDING WORKERS AND RETENTION. WE ARE DRIVING WORKFORCE INNOVATION, CAPABILITY GROWTH AND CONNECTING EMPLOYERS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, HIGH SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES TO SUPPLY CHAIN, CONSTRUCTION AND MANUFACTURING CAREER PATHWAYS. HOW IS #SUPPLYCHAINOKI GOING TO HELP?WE COLLABORATE ACROSS REGION WITH COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES, TECH CENTERS, HIGH SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND WITH REGIONAL WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARDS TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF SUPPLY CHAIN, CONSTRUCTION AND MANUFACTURING CAREER PATHWAYS.2023 RESULTS:HIGH YOUTH PROGRAM TO HELP STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT JOBS AND CAREERS WAS SHARED WITH OVER 5,050 STUDENTS ACROSS THE REGION. THIS WAS DONE THROUGH IN PERSON LUNCH & LEARNS, JOB SHADOWING, TOURS, COOP JOBS AND CAREER EXPOS. -OVER 60 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS RECEIVED JOB READINESS AND LEAN SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELT TRAINING. -OVER 70 ADULTS FROM COMMUNITY PROGRAMS RECEIVED JOB READINESS AND LEAN SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELT TRAINING. -BUSINESS PARTNERS PARTICIPATED IN HIRING EVENTS AT HIGH SCHOOLS AND LIBRARIES AND SPONSORED THEIR OWN HIRING EVENTS. -WE DEVELOPED TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS THAT WILL HELP ADULTS AND STUDENTS GET TO AND FROM JOBS. THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT BARRIER FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN POVERTY. -WE CREATED PAID, SUMMER TEACHER EXTERNSHIPS AT MEMBER COMPANIES TO EXPOSE THEM TO THE GREAT PAYING JOBS AND CAREERS IN SUPPLY CHAIN, CONSTRUCTION AND MANUFACTURING.-WE CREATED AN ACADEMY PROGRAM THAT WILL ALLOW YOUTH AND ADULTS GET INDUSTRY ACCEDITED TRAINING SO THEY ARE BETTER PREPARED FOR JOBS. IN SUMMARY, #SUPPLYCHAINOKI IS DRIVING WORKFORCE INNOVATION, CAPABILITY GROWTH AND CONNECTING EMPLOYERS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, HIGH SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES TO SUPPLY CHAIN, CONSTRUCTION AND MANUFACTURING CAREER PATHWAYS.
