THE POST PROVIDED A BREAKFAST TO THOSE PARTICIPATING IN THE ANNUAL VET WALK FROM ORDWAY TO OLNEY SPRINGS, APPROXIMATELY 12 MILES. POST MEMBERS AND AUXILLARY MEMBERS COOKED,SERVED, AND CLEANED UP. ADVERTISING, OFFICE EXPENSE, ENTERTAINMENT, CONTRACT LABOR, DUES


VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION TO INLCUDE VOICE OF DEMOCRACY AND PATRIOTS PEN ESSAY CONTESTS. MONETARY PRIZES ARE AWARDED TO THE FIRST THREE PLACE WINNERS IN EACH CONTEST. VETERANS ARE ACKNOWLEDED AND A MEAL IS SERVED TO VETERANS ADN THEIR FAMILIES AND TO THE CONTEST WINNERS AND THEIR FAMILIES. EACH CONTEST WINNER IS INVITED TO READ THEIR ESSAYS. APPROXIATELY 90 PERSONS ATTENDED. PAST MEMEBER ADN AUXILLARY MEMBERS VOLUNTEERED TO COOK, SERVE, AND CLEAN UP.


MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATION. POST AND AUXILLARY MEMBERS TRAVEL TO THREE CEETERIES IN THE COUNTY TO PUT A FLAG ON EVERY HEAD STONE OF DECEASED VETERANS AND VFW AUXILARY BANNERS ON EACH DECEASED AUXILLARY MEMBER. A SHORT CEREMONY IS HELD AND A 21 GUN SALUTE IS GIVEN. NEW FLAGS AND FLAG HOLDERS WERE ORDERED.
