ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2021, SONOMA COUNTY LOCAL NEWS INITIATIVE, ACQUIRED THE ASSETS OF SONOMA WEST PUBLISHERS, INCLUDING SOCONEWS, THE PRINTED HEALDSBURG TRIBUNE AND EMAIL NEWSLETTERS FOR SEBASTOPOL, WINDSOR, HEALDSBURG AND CLOVERDALE. IN 2021 $532,605 WAS RAISED FROM DONORS. AS CALLED FOR IN 2021 INITIATIVES, A MANAGING EDITOR WAS HIRED AND A LATINA REPORTER TO IMPROVE DIVERSITY COVERAGE. IN PURSUIT OF OUR MISSION, WE PUBLISH ONE PRINT NEWSPAPER, FOUR E MAIL NEWSLETTERS, AND A WEBSITE THAT WAS FREE TO 9,000 NEWSLETTER READERS AND 138,000 MONTHLY WEBSITE UNIQUE VISITORS.
