POLICY, ADVOCACY, AND EDUCATION: EAAF DEVELOPS AND ADVANCES POLICY TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLY TIGHT LABOR MARKETS, INCLUDING ANTI-INFLATIONARY POLICIES THAT AVOID NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON EMPLOYMENT AND WAGES. IN 2021, EAAF SUCCESSFULLY ADVOCATED FOR THE INTRODUCTION OF THE INDUSTRIAL FINANCE CORPORATION ACT OF 2021. EAAF ALSO DEVELOPED AUTOMATIC STABILIZERS LEGISLATION ON UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE (UI), SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, (SNAP), SUBSIDIZED JOBS, AND CASH ASSISTANCE, AND STATE AND LOCAL AID IN COALITION WITH SEVERAL OTHER ECONOMIC POLICY ORGANIZATIONS; CONDUCTED EXTENSIVE RESEARCH, ANALYSIS, AND ADVOCACY ON UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT PROGRAM EXPANSION; SUCCESSFULLY ADVOCATED FOR THE INCLUSION OF TAX EXEMPTION FOR UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE PAYMENTS IN THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN. CONDUCTED LOBBYING AND RESPONDED TO TECHNICAL INFORMATION REQUESTS FROM CONGRESSIONAL STAFF ON ECONOMIC LEGISLATION, INCLUDING BOTH FISCAL POLICY AND FEDERAL RESERVE POLICY AND OVERSIGHT.
