CULTIVATE SOUTH PARK OPERATES FOOD SECURITY, ARTS & CULTURE, EQUITABLE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT THROUGH PROGRAMMING AND EVENTS AND EVENTS IN THE SOUTH PARK COMMUNITY. INSTEAD OF A TYPICAL FOOD BANK, WE HOST A LATIN-STYLE MARKET AND FOOD BANK ATTRACTIVELY ARRANGED LIKE A RETAIL STORE WHERE WE SERVE OVER 200 FAMILIES EACH MONTH. WORKING WITH THE CITY OF SEATTLE AND THE CULTURAL SPACE AGENCY, WE PURCHASED A 32,000 SQ. FT. MULTI-USE COMMERCIAL BUILDING. "EL BARRIO" FEATURES A HISTORIC EVENT SPACE, A TEACHING SPACE, APARTMENTS, RESTAURANTS, AND SMALL RETAIL ESTABLISHMENTS. EL BARRIO HOSTS COMMUNITY PROGRAMS CENTERING YOUTH, THE ENVIRONMENT, ARTS, JOB SKILLS AND HEALTH/WELLNESS. OUR PROGRAMS GROW YOUTH LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOP JOB SKILLS IN A POOR NEIGHBORHOOD WHERE FEW YOUTH JOBS ARE AVAILABLE. IN 2024, CULTIVATE SUPPORTED OVER 70 SMALL BUSINESSES AND OVER 5,000 INDIVIDUALS THROUGH PROGRAMMING AND EVENTS.
