ALL DONATIONS MADE TO PITTSBURGH CURE SARCOMA ARE USED TO FUND AWARENESS AND RESEARCH FOR SARCOMA. IN 2021, WE DONATED 50,000 TO THE UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH MUSCULOSKELETAL ONCOLOGY TUMOR AND TISSUE BANK AND 5,000 TO UPMC PRESBYTERIAN ANATOMIC PATHOLOGY TO STUDY THE GENETIC MAKEUP OF WILD TYPE CHONDROSARCOMA. WE ALSO POSTED OUR FIRST REQUEST FOR GRANT SUBMISSIONS AND THE MEDICAL ADVISORY BOARD WORKED WITH THE PCS BOARD TO GRANT SIX OF THE FOURTEEN SUBMISSIONS, AS WELL AS DONATIONS TO TWO SARCOMA RESEARCH FUNDS AND ONE WET LAB. IN TOTAL, 195,000 WAS COMMITTED IN DECEMBER 2021. THE FUNDING PROCESS WAS INITIATED AND FUNDS WILL BE DISPERSED IN 2022.
