THE FRIENDS HOSTED A PUBLIC PRESENTATION AT THE SITE OF THE CONSERVATION AREA ANNOUNCING THE FORMATION OF THE FRIENDS, DESCRIBING THE HISTORY OF THE CONSERVATION AREA, ITS BOUNDARIES, AND ENCOURAGING MEMBERSHIP. THE FRIENDS PLACED PERMANENT VISIBLE MARKERS IN THE GROUND DEFINING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CONSERVATION PROPERTY. THE FRIENDS ESTABLISHED A VISIBLE PRESENCE IN DOWNTOWN BELFAST, MAINE AT THE COMMONS.
