Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3

DUE TO COVID, IT BECAME DIFFICULT DURING 2021 TO ARRANGE FORMAL CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES SUCH AS THOSE CARRIED OUT IN THE PAST. HOWEVER, THE ORGANIZATION ASSISTED WITH CARRYING OUT OF VARIOUS ONLINE EVENTS, OFTEN IN COLLABORATION WITH THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR LAW AND RELIGION STUDIES AT THE J. REUBEN CLARK LAW SCHOOL AT BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY (PROVO, UTAH). THESE INCLUDED A VARIETY OF INITIATAIVES TO RESEARCH AND PROVIDE WEB SETTINGS TO DISCUSS CONCEPTIONS OF HUMAN DIGNITY AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO HUMAN RIGHTS IN GENERAL AND FREEDOM OF RELIGION OR BELIEF IN PARTICULAR. THE ASSOCIATION WAS ALSO ABLE TO WORK FORWARD IN CARRYING OUT THE OBJECTIVES OF THE 100,000 GRANT RECEIVED FROM TEMPLETON RELIGION TRUST (2020) DESIGNED TO PROMOTE PLANNING FOR AND ORGANIZATION AND CARRYING OUT OF A SERIES OF CONFERENCES AND OTHER INITIATIVES THAT COULD HELP CONTRIBUTE TO AN OVERALL STRATEGY OF ENGAGEMENTS THAT WILL SUSTAIN THE WORK OF HUMAN DIGNITY FOR EVERYONE EVERYWHERE. PLANNING CONTEMPLATED SOME INITIATIVES THAT WOULD GO FORWARD DURING PANDEMIC SHUT-DIOWN PERIODS, AND OTHERS THAT COULD BE ORGANIZED THEREAFTER. FUNDING WAS RECEIVED IN OCTOBER 2020, AND USE OF GRANT FUNDS WAS FURTHER SPECIFIED BY A CONTRACT WITH JAN FIGEL, FORMER EU SPECIAL ENVOY FOR FREEDOM OF RELIGION OR BELIEF OUTSIDE THE EU, WHO AGREED TO CONSULT WITH US AND ALSO PARTICIPATE IN MANY THOUGH NOT ALL OF THE PROJECTS.
