LADMC FOUNDATIONS GOAL IS TO TRAIN LOS ANGELES COUNTY NURSES IN LEADERSHIP AND HEALTH CARE, AND TO PROMOTE HEALTH AND WELLNESS EDUCATION TO COMMUNITIES AND NEIGHBORHOODS THROUGHOUT THE LOS ANGELES REGION.

Part 3 - Line 4a

LADMC RAN COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIRS IN THE LOS ANGELES REGION. THOSE FAIRS PROVIDED BASIC PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION TO SOME OF THE MOST VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES IN THE LOS ANGELE REGION. THE FAIRS ALSO PROVIDED ATTENDEES WITH BASIC SCREENIG TEST, SUCH AS DIABETES SCREENING, AND BLOOD PRESSURE TESTS. THE FAIRS REACHED APPROXIMATELY 1,000 PEOPLE.


LADMC FOUNDATION CONTINUES ITS PROGRAM TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INDIVIDUALS TO BECOME NURSES, FILLING A DIRE NEED FOR NURSES DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC. SCHOLARSHIPS WERE APPLIED FOR THROUGH THE LADMCS FOUNDATION WEBSITE AND AWARDED ON AN OBJECTIVE, NON-DISCRIMITORY BASES.


LADMC FOUNDATIONS NURSING AND HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROGRAMS TAUGHT NURSES THROUGHTOUT THE LOS ANGELES REGION SKILLS AND KNOWLEGE, SUCH AS PATIENT COMMUNICATION, THE LATEST IN-PATIENT CENTERED PRACTICES, TEAM LEADERSHIP PRACTICES, NEW TECHNOLOGY USES TO IMPROVE PATIENT OUTCOMES. THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON WELLNESS BENEFITS FOR NURSES DURING EMERGENCIES, INCLUDING ACCORDS AND AWARDS.
